Coorg, located on the western ghats of Karnataka is one of the beautiful locations in India with a lot of interesting places to visit. Coorg was affectionately called ‘The Scotland of the East’ by the British. The Madikeri fort, Talacauvery, the origin of river Cauvery and Bhagamandala, a temple situated at the junction of three rivers, the Cauvery, Kanika and Sujyothi are some of the major attractions of this place. Coorg is famous for its coffee plantations and also for trekking. Thadiyandamole, Pushpagiri, Brahmagiri, and Nishanimotte are some of the trekking spots in Coorg. The Abbey falls and the Raja’s seat are other major attractions.
