Sultan Bathery, previously called Ganapativatom, is a historical town nestled in the Wayanad district of the state of Kerala. Situated on the Karnataka–Kerala border, this can be the perfect spot for a one–day outing any time. It is separated by 4 km from the centre of Mangalore city. This calm and quaint town was, at one time, invaded by the famous ruler of Mysuru Tipu Sultan, who made use of the famous Jain Temple there like a bathery, and thus the name.
